PROTON THERAPY

Proton Therapy, also called proton beam therapy, is a type of radiation treatment that uses protons rather than x-rays to treat cancer. The power of protons provides a higher dose of radiation that can be used to control and manage cancer while significantly reducing damage to healthy tissue and vital organs. This segment of video was used within a proposal to establish South Australia as the national centre for proton therapy and research.
